Step 1: Access the Victim
Your number one responsibility as a first aider is to access the accident victim. Is the victim responsive? Does he/she appear to be in a critical condition?
Step 2: Alert the Emergency Medical Services
You must as a matter of urgency alert the nearest Emergency Medical Service provider or better still activate your emergency action plans before arrival of the EMS squad.
Steps 3: Attend to the Victims
Check if the accident victim is breathing properly. Please refer your universal first aid procedure in the event that the victim is not breathing or has more complications. Try as much as possible to control further bleeding of the accident victims.
